On 18.09.2020, our safety day took place in Forst Bliestorf under the direction of Detlef Runge from the Forestry Academy in Bad Segeberg and Maik Kolke from the Lübeck Fire Brigade.
After a joint breakfast, there was an instruction on how to handle the contents of our rescue backpacks (neck corset, rescue blanket, eye wash, rail bandage etc.). Afterwards different accident scenarios were simulated in the nearby spruce stand. The seminar leaders attached great importance to realism and comprehensibility. All scenarios that were played through (circulatory collapse, allergic reaction to wasp stings, open fractures, skull/brain trauma, cuts, heart attack) corresponded to the statistically most common accident scenarios.
For this successful day we would like to thank Detlef Runge and Maik Kolke, who made the event realistic and very practical.
